Bigarden`s Satoki, a small 5 pound import male from  Denmark, with his size of exactly 23 x 23 cm he was a male that represented his  breed in a first class manner. He always was the boss even though he was very small which he probably did not realise or did not care about. He was brave and no-one could bend him, just like a real Samurai. He was always happy and very  caring about his girls. Also he knew how to present himself at shows as can be  seen from the photo above. We are proud to have his son and also his  grandchildren as studs since they inherited all his positive qualities. We will  never forget our "Satoki"!!!!!

“Bigarden`s Snehvide”, a sister of “Satoki”, unfortunately passed away much too early. She was a small and beautiful female.  She had to have a C-section when expecting her first litter but neither she nor her puppies survived this. Now we know that the veterinarian was lacking qualification but this knowledge does not bring our sweetheart back. She is now  with her brother and surely knows that we are still thinking of  her!!!!!

“Stenstrup`s Lucille” was a small, yes really small little sunshine. She was barely an adult with 12 months when she came to us. She  weighed 1800 grams at that time and already had a litter of 5 at that time for her previous owner, a breeder in FCI. We nursed her back to health and she  reached the proper weight of 2800 grams. A year later she had a great litter of  4 puppies and our stud "Hulk-Hogan" descends from that litter. Unfortunately  she too became the victim of a C-section 2 years later. We are convinced that the C-section had to be done only because after she had 2 puppies normally another puppy was not lying in the proper position and this caused the problem. Also at this operation we were not allowed to be present which now for the second time caused the death of a dog. Of course it is easy to blame the vet  but the facts in this case speak for themselves. More about this and further problems concerning vets from our own experience and the experience of  other dog lovers to be found shortly on this homepage.

We will also never forget our "Lucille" who was  called Marcy.

Unexpectedly in July 2001 our 8,5 years old  Pekingese male "Rambo" (Kisci Roman Supreme)passed away.

Until last he had only two things in his mind: His girls and his squeeky toys, even when the temperatures were up to 30 degrees. He  brought so much joy to our lives and never was sick. We will never forget our "Rambo"!!!!!

We said 'Good-bye' to "Jackie-Chan" on March 28.

He never made it past his 7th year. When he was a puppy we sold him to a German Shepard breeder and her husband. She wanted a lapdog to keep in the house with her. 7 months later we found out that our little boy was living amongst all the German Shepards in the kennel. He was there day in and day out. We immediately went and brought him back home. A little while later we noticed that he was petrified of things like longs sticks, etc. We found that out by sheer accident: As I was taking down my curtains to wash them, I was holding my curtain rod in my hands. When the little one saw that he raced into the farthest reaches of the room, and just cowered there, shaking like a leaf. Unfortunately, it does not take a lot of imagination to understand what has happened to this little dog. When he started to go lame in the front, a few years later, we thought at first that maybe he had jumped and hurt himself, but it just did not get any better. Quite to the contrary, now he also started to lame in the hindquarters. We took him to the vet, he got medication, and it still did not improve. So we had him x-rayed. That was when we realized the entirety of what must have happened to Jackie: He had been beaten, obviously with sticks of some sort, and he must also have been kicked very badly, on more than one occasion, during his early growth period. His entire spine was one solid contusion, which over the course of the years had changed the shape of the cartilage and had crippeled him. Now the nerves were being pinched, and it was not impossible that he might end up paralized. It was so bad that the vet would not even think of operating. So Jackie got pills for a number of months, and eventually even started to improve some. He was almost without a limp. Even though he did not jump anymore, he could still play with the other dogs for a while. However, the vet had warned us that Jackie's back would start acting up again, within 1, at the very most within 2 years. It happened almost to the day of the first year. We tried the same medication again but without any kind of results. It got so bad that he could not stand anymore. He kept falling over constantly. He wasn't in pain so he wanted to keep playing, but he could not. It was so very sad to see. When we could not stand and watch it any longer, we, together with the vet, decided to set him free.

Now Jackie-Chan's memory lives on in our hearts.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together... Author Unknown
